Bavaria blu is an Upper Bavarian blue mould cheese specialty from Bergader. It is made by our diligent and experienced master cheese makers themselves. Bavaria blu has a unique, delicious taste thanks to the fresh milk from Chiemgau and Berchtesgadener Land and blue mould we cultivate particularly for this cheese.
Fresh milk from farms in our vicinity is the most important ingredient of Bavaria blu. The special, delicate and spicy flavour of the cheese is a result of the blue mould our master cheese makers use, which has been cultivated particularly for our cheese production. Finally, the special conditions in our ripening chambers make Bavaria blu an inimitable blue mould cheese specialty.

Our new Bavaria blu “mild & creamy” is a particularly creamy soft cheese. With its delicate white mould on the surface and fine blue mould inside, it has an extraordinarily mild flavour.

Bavaria blu “tasty blue” is the perfect addition to our Bavaria blu assortment. It has an intense flavour thanks to its exquisitely spicy blue mould and its particularly creamy texture. It is made from fresh milk from Chiemgau and Berchtesgadener Land using our own blue mould.
The special feature of Bavaria blu “tasty blue” is its high blue mould content. As it ripens, the cheese develops a fine mould on its surface. This intensifies its flavour and proves that it has not been treated in any way. An indulgence for cheese lovers who appreciate strong blue mould.

Serving suggestions:
With its creamy, delicate taste and subtle flavour of blue mould, Bavaria blu is the perfect cheese for an extensive breakfast or a hearty snack.
